    What is YEAS Yoga?

YEAS Yoga was born out of a need for extra curricular activities to be available to all children. Yoga isn’t just a fun activity – it’s a doorway for many children to step into a more organized way of life. With a program designed for children with all kinds of special needs, YEAS Yoga is happily paving a way for many young people across America to connect their minds and bodies.
YEAS (pronounced YAZ) stands for Yoga Education for Autism Spectrum, and is a branch of San Francisco small business Kahlon Family Services. In 2015, the program was rebranded YEAS Yoga, dropping the connotation that only students with Autism would benefit. In the past few years of teaching YEAS, we have seen countless benefits and mind-blowing progress in children with various differences, outside of an Autism diagnosis.
Our program has grown significantly, and continues to gain attention from publications like Autism Bay Area magazine and Bay Area Parent. YEAS also won a grant this year to teach yoga to special day classes in the Palo Alto Unified School District, which was completed with outstanding success. YEAS classes are happening all over the Bay Area on any given day of the week, in family homes, in local parks and schools.
